　kokemusのwebページにお越しいただき、ありがとうございます。
　私は、大学で人間工学を学び、インテリア業界で働く中で、シンプルで機能的な北欧デザインに魅かれました。本場のデザインを求め北欧の国を訪問するうちに、一番自分にしっくりして好きだと感じたのがフィンランドでした。
　フィンランド人と一緒に過ごす時間がとにかく心地よく、フィンランドの森と湖に流れる空気感はどの季節に訪れても素晴らしく、また行きたい国になり、ここ10年以上毎年のように訪れ、約一年半ほど家族でヘルシンキに暮らしました。

　その間に出会った子育て世代の友人や映像制作の仕事で一緒に3D映画を作ってきたフィンランド人クリエイターたちとの対話を通して、フィンランド人の子どもへの接し方・対話の様子、人生において重要に思うこと、日々のライフ＆ワークバランスの感覚など、驚くことや参考にしたいと思うような発見も多かったです。それはもしかして、狭い競争社会で生きにくさを感じている日本人が幸せに生きるためのヒントになるのでは、と感じていました。

　また、CGや3D映像制作の世界で働いていた時、作り手も観る側も男性ばかり、女性が観たいと思えるような映像も少ない、と感じていました。VRでも、男性や子どもたちだけが楽しんでいるのはもったいない、一緒に楽しんでもらいたい。そう思っている時に、フィンランドの湖水地方でフィンランドの森と湖の美しいＶＲ映像を撮影しているSaimaaLifeと出会い、お互いに色々な意味での可能性を感じ、コラボレーションを始めることなったのです。

　kokemusでは、「ＶＲ」と「フィンランド」のどちらにも縁がない方に、ちょっと経験してみていただくチャンスを作りたいのです。
　そのチャンスさえあれば、きっと楽しんでもらえる、好きになってもらえる、そう確信しています。
　私ができることは小さいけれど、苔生した（kokemusがいっぱいな）森となるよう、一つずつのプロジェクトに取り組んでいきますので、どうぞよろしくお願い致します。

Message

Thank you for visiting kokemus’ web page. I studied ergonomics at Waseda university in Japan and worked in the interior industry. Through this experience, I was fascinated by simple and functional Scandinavian design. While visiting Scandinavian countries in search of authentic designs, it was Finland that I felt most comfortable and fascinated.
Anyway, the time spent with Finns is pleasant, the air flowing through the Finnish forests and lakes is wonderful no matter what season I visited, Finland is a country I want to go to, I have visited the country almost every year for more than 10 years, and I have also lived in Helsinki with my family for about one and a half years.

Through collaborative projects with Finnish creators with whom I was working on 3D film and video production, and through meeting the Finnish friends I met during my child-raising years, I learned how Finnish people interact with children and what they value most in their lives such as their sense of work-life balance. I was inspired and wanted to refer to them. I felt that this could be a hint for Japanese people in the small competitive society to live happier lives.

Furthermore, when I was involved in the production of CG and 3D images, I felt that the producers and viewers were all men and that there was not enough content that women would be interested in. VR is more for men and children to enjoy, but I wanted women to enjoy it more as well. When I was feeling that way, I met SaimaaLife which shoots beautiful VR images of Finnish forests and lakes in Lake Saimaa District and began collaborating with them in a variety of ways.

At kokemus, I want to offer opportunities for people who have never experienced VR or Finland. If there is the opportunity, I am sure they will enjoy and like them. I would like to work on each project, even small ones, and make kokemus (‘covered in moss’ in Japanese) a moss forest in the future.
